When I was a kid, I didn't collect baseball cards, nor pogs, nor Beanie Babies, nor Barbies. Nope. I collected something that future friends and lovers would find irresistibly cool. And by "irresistibly cool," well, let's just say no blockbuster movie is going to be made about this stamp-collecting kid.
I was fascinated that people would go to the post office, pick out a kick-ass design like a bomber plane, an Olympian, or a brachiosaurus, and then mail that to someone else. Needless to say, I picked up that Boy Scouts merit badge pretty dang quick. And also needless to say, that skill didn't help at all when trying to light a fire, tie knots, or navigate out of a forest using only stars.
