🆕 feature: Upsells 2.0—Recommend upgrades to products already in-cart
Upselling works. Creators have earned over $250k to date by using them. And we're proud to announce we've made them even better. Now you can add a new type of upsell that replaces selected products in the cart. When this upsell is triggered by any particular product, it will replace that product in a customer's cart when they accept the upsell.
For example:
Say you have two products. Product A and Product B. Product B contains Product A's content as well as some bonus material. You want to upsell Product B, but you don't want to customer to get duplicated content. So you decide to use this new feature. You create an upsell with this new type of offer (see below on how to do that), and here's what would happen next:
- Customer adds Product A to the Cart.
- Customer sees upsell offer for Product B (which includes Product A's content and some bonus material).
- Customer accepts offer and Product A is removed from Cart and replaced with Product B.
You can turn this on today by going to Checkout > Upsells on your Dashboard and selecting the upsell you want to change. Then select "Edit" and choose "Replace the selected products with another product" under Type of offer. See below:
Replacing products with an upsell has been asked for a lot. Try this on your existing products and let us know how it goes.
